CRAFTED WITH PASSION, GUIDED BY PURPOSE
Hello
I am Afreeca, the founder of CharcuArt. Based in London, UK, CharcuArt is an official Community Interest Company (CIC) born out of a lifelong passion for creativity, connection, and the belief that meaningful artistic experiences have the power to uplift and bring communities together.
With an BSc (Hons) degree in Event and Business Management from the University of Plymouth and over a decade of hands-on experience in event planning, I have spent my career mastering the art of the experience. I know exactly what it takes to design, organise and facilitate engaging, seamless events that leave a lasting impression.
But the true heart of CharcuArt comes from a deeply personal place.
As a parent to a son with learning disabilities, I have experienced firsthand the profound, transformative impact that arts and crafts can have on wellbeing, confidence and self-expression. For us, creative activities became far more than just enjoyable hobbies, they provided a calm, inclusive and supportive sanctuary where he could truly thrive and express himself freely.
This personal journey inspired me to build CharcuArt to become a creative business built entirely on the foundations of inclusivity, connection, and community.
I wanted to design a welcoming space where children, adults, families and organisations of all backgrounds and abilities could gather to relax, create and build lasting memories. After organising a series of highly successful creative workshops and community events, the overwhelming support and positive feedback I received made it clear: people needed a space to unwind and connect.
Today, CharcuArt proudly provides engaging and fully hosted creative experiences, including children’s parties, adult sip & paint events, corporate team-building and specialised inclusive workshops.
Our Core Mission
To design joyful, inclusive and memorable experiences while directly giving back to our community through creativity, connection, and care.
More About CharcuArt
-
A CIC is a special type of business designed entirely for social good. Unlike traditional companies that focus on personal profit, our primary purpose is to benefit the community. A core part of our revenue is reinvested directly back into funding subsidized or free therapeutic art and craft programs for individuals with additional needs, lower-income families, and community groups. When you book an experience with us, you are directly supporting positive social change.
-
Inclusivity is at the core of everything we do. We carefully design our sessions using highly adaptable steps and clear visual guidance to ensure everyone can participate at their own pace. We also work closely with organisers beforehand to understand any specific learning, emotional or physical needs so we can tailor the space into a calm, welcoming and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
-
We are fully mobile! We bring all the fun, creativity and supplies straight to your chosen venue, whether that’s your home, a community hall, an office space or a school. We handle everything from the setup to the complete pack-down, so you can just focus on enjoying the experience.
-
Absolutely. To ensure everyone at your gathering can fully participate, we offer beautiful, curated platters that are fully halal, vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free. Just let us know your requirements when enquiring, and we’ll design a spread that matches your event seamlessly.
